Knowledge base
Eight topics, answered in brief. What is Actum?
Actum Energy provides data-driven Operations & Maintenance solutions for large-scale renewable energy assets — solar PV, wind, battery storage and hydro. We run the operations layer: monitoring, measurement, reporting and work order management.
The name is Latin for a thing done — a deed carried through to its end. We establish what an asset should have produced, and pursue the difference until it is fixed.
How we measure
Each month we adjust the P50 design target for the conditions the asset actually met — irradiation, temperature, grid, curtailment and planned maintenance — to reach its producible output: what it could genuinely have produced.
Against that number we measure component issues, which are actionable, and under- or over-performance not yet explained. An asset can beat its target and still be losing energy.
Working alongside you
Three models. Alongside your own maintenance team, giving them direction, priority and evidence. Alongside your existing contractor, whose scope then focuses on execution. Or full scope, with maintenance delivered by our partners.
One operations contract can sit above several maintenance arrangements, across countries and technologies.
Asset classes
We work across all renewable energy asset classes: solar PV, wind, battery storage and hydro. The method is the same for each — establish what the asset should have produced, and close the gap.
Who we work with
Asset owners and independent power producers, developers, funds and investors, and EPCs — from a single asset to portfolios spread across several countries, contractors and systems.
We are headquartered in Singapore and work with clients wherever their assets are.
Getting started
Three ways in: an assessment, where we review one asset and show you where the avoidable losses sit; a demonstration of our monitoring platform and CMMS on a live asset; or a twenty-minute conversation about your portfolio.

The team
Our team brings decades of combined experience running renewable energy assets — as O&M contractor, EPC, asset owner and asset manager. Our advisory network spans renewable energy, finance and regional markets across Asia-Pacific and South Africa.
Careers
We are growing, and looking for bright minds who know the industry’s challenges from the inside — in solar, wind, battery storage or hydro; in operations, monitoring, performance analysis or digital O&M — and want to solve them with modern software and AI.
